About PathFinder TV
PathFinder TV is an Internet based service that enables any person, business, or organization the ability to broadcast live events to any number of viewers by way of a high speed broadband connection via the public Internet.
Live events can be archived for future downloads or streaming to authorized viewers on a view on demand type basis.
With simplicity and cost effectiveness in mind, PathFinder TV strives to maintain an affordable and professional service for the origination and distribution of video content whether the producer / broadcaster is covering the local little league sporting event, the school play, a wedding, or a spiritual event; or the local fire & rescue first responder unit is sending video images to the local, state, or federal agencies; or the local television station is sending a late breaking news story back to the station for rebroadcast over the airwaves. |
Anyone is capable of broadcasting live events over the Internet. All you need is a camcorder, PathFinder TV's Producer Station, and an Internet connection. |

An event can be watched using any PC or MAC utilizing a standard web browser. Viewers will be invited by the Producer where he/she will be givne a user name and password to view the event. |

There are two types of users of PathFinder TV:
- The Producer (broadcaster)
- The Viewer
| The Producer is the broadcaster; and is provided with a Producer Station from PathFinder TV. The Producer Station is a fully automated plug-and-play appliance that when connected to the Internet automatically connects to the PathFinder web portal. |
| The Producer Station accepts audio & video from any source such as a video camcorder, processes the signal as directed by the PathFinder TV portal, and in turn broadcasts the signal with all relevant control information to the PathFinder TV portal. The PathFinder TV portal will then broadcast the live event to any number of viewers as directed and authorized by the Producer. |

The Viewer receives an invitation from the Producer to watch an event. The Viewer watches the event with either a PC or Mac utilizing a standard web browser by logging-on to the PathFinder TV web portal via the public Internet. Specific to a username and password, the Viewer will be able to view the live event plus any archived events that the Producer has given authorization for the Viewer to access or to download. |
| Additionally, any person may visit the PathFinder TV web site and create a Viewer account. By doing so, a Viewer will be able to browse a master calendar of events and/or any archived events where the Producer has given permission for the general public to view or download. |
Bandwidth and CDN Requirements:

Unique to PathFinder TV, PathFinder TV does not require a specific type or speed of Internet connectivity to allow a live broadcast via the network. The PathFinder TV architecture allows for broadcasts in kbps range to the mbps range. The Producer is in control of the quality of the live broadcast based on the speed and robustness of Internet connectivity from the event; however, in all cases the archived event will always be available in standard television quality via the Producer's portal within the PathFinder TV architecture. |
IP connections to the PathFinder server can include:
- Standard high speed broadband Internet connection
- Satellite broadband Internet connection
- High speed fiber Internet
- Direct IP connection into the PathFinder TV server
- Etc.,
